World Day against Child Labour, celebrated in 12 june, is a fundamental moment to increase awareness about the rights of children and adolescents and the duty to protect them against any form of exploitation.
A MVK, as a company committed to Human rights and certified with seal Friend of the Child Company, granted by Foundation, reaffirms this day his firm stance: we don’t tolerate child labor under any circumstances.
What is considered child labor?
According to Brazilian legislation and the International Labor Organization (ILO), child labor is all economic or survival activity performed by children and adolescents under the minimum age permitted by law – in Brazil, 16 years, except on condition that apprentice from 14 years old.
This type of work deprives children of the right to education, leisure, family life and compromises their physical, emotional and social development.

The Human Rights Policy of MVK is clear in its position:
“ We reject any form of forced, compulsory or slave-like labor, both in our own operation and in the entire value chain of business. We also reject child labor and do not employ people under the age of 16, except as an apprentice, from 14 years, respecting the forms of hiring provided by law.”
This policy goes beyond legal compliance: it represents a commitment to building a fairer future and to strengthening an ethical and responsible productive chain.
Child Friendly Company Seal: a recognition of our commitment
MVK is proud to be part of the program Friend of the Child Company, of the Abrinq Foundation. This initiative recognises companies that:
- They do not use child labor in their operations or supply chain;
- Develop or support social actions aimed at childhood and adolescence;
- They promote corporate social responsibility.
This seal is more than a symbol: it is proof of the continuous commitment of MVK with the protection of childhood rights.
Responsibility that is shared
In addition to internal policies, MVK believes that the information and awareness are essential tools in the fight against child labor. Therefore, we promote communication actions to engage collaborators and society around this cause.
This June, our mobilization includes:

- Internal awareness campaign with employees;
- Publication of this article to publicly strengthen our institutional position.
